Arbitration
Mr. Tsimis is a member of the Society of Maritime Arbitrators, Inc. (link to G Tsimis bio on SMA Roster as found at ) and has been appointed in various maritime and commercial disputes, including various contractual disputes involving charter parties, salvage contracts, bunker supply contracts, bills of lading, contracts of affreightment and other matters. Although most of the arbitrations where Mr. Tsimis has been appointed are being held in New York, he has been instructed in proceedings that have been or are being held in other places such as London and elsewhere.

Mediation
Mr. Tsimis has completed mediation training programs offered by the New York City Bar Association as well as the Society of Maritime Arbitrators, Inc. Mr. Tsimis has also participated in numerous mediations in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, England, Greece and Dubai (UAE) both as a party participant or as a party’s insurer. Mr. Tsimis has successfully mediated commercial disputes between vessel owners and operators, charterers, cargo interests and/or their respective insurers.
